When the closest title is still unclear
Prepare a title comparison before submitting
Write down your original qualification title, translated title where relevant, course duration, clinical training and intended duties. Beside them, record the proposed UAE category and the requirement you cannot yet match. This makes a useful review request: “My degree includes these subjects and placements; which title should this evidence be assessed against?”
Illustrative situation: an employer advertises for a laboratory “technician”, while the applicant’s degree and overseas registration use “technologist”. Do not rename either document. Ask the employer to confirm the intended licensed title and have the qualification assessed against it.
If DHA’s self-assessment does not resolve your qualification, its Review Registration Eligibility service provides a route for a manual review. An eligibility review is not permission to practise.
