CDA lists two related categories here. Behavioral Analyst requires a Master's in Psychology, or in Education in Behavioral Analysis. Assistant Behavioral Analyst requires a Bachelor's and accepts a wider set of majors — Psychology, Education in Behavioral Analysis, or Nursing in Behavioral Analysis. Wrong category within CDA
CDA's categories differ sharply in qualification level and experience. Two similar-sounding titles can have very different requirements.
Major mismatch
CDA names the acceptable major for each category. A related degree in a different subject is a decision for CDA, not something to assume.
Experience stated loosely
Experience letters without clear dates, role detail and recency create avoidable queries on an otherwise sound file.
Missing the supervision condition
Some categories carry a standing supervision requirement. Where one applies, the supervising licensed professional needs to be in place rather than arranged afterwards.
Leaving renewal too late
Renewal requires forty (40) hours of CPD across all categories. Starting to collect it near the end of the two-year cycle rarely goes well.
