DHA CBT Exam Specifications: Duration, Questions, Fee and Pass Score by Specialty

There is no single DHA exam fee, which is why the question is so hard to answer online. DHA charges in US dollars at three levels: USD 280 for every Physician and Dentist exam, USD 240 for Nursing and most Allied Health, and USD 180 for Aesthetician, both Laser Hair Reduction exams, Operation Theatre Technician and Technologist, and all four TCIM exams. DHA publishes no AED equivalent, so what you pay moves with the exchange rate.

Every computer-based exam is either three hours or two hours — no other duration appears across the 116 published specifications. DHA states that time includes registration and the process introduction as well as the questions, so it is not all answering time.

One of three values: 150, 100 or 70. The 70-question papers are the two Laser Hair Reduction exams. The 100-question papers are the two-hour exams plus every Consultant-title exam, Specialist Hematopathology and Speech Therapy — so a Consultant paper is shorter than a Specialist one while carrying a higher pass mark.

It depends on the specialty. Six values appear: 45%, 50%, 55%, 60%, 65% and 70%. The 70% band covers Specialist Neurosurgery, Specialist Pediatrics, Clinical Pharmacy and all thirteen Consultant-title exams. Anyone quoting a single universal DHA pass mark is generalising.

No. DHA states the result is updated in your Sheryan account as Pass or Fail and that the applicant's score will not be shared. The pass marks here tell you what you have to clear, not what you achieved, so there is no mark to appeal against.

DHA states its computer-based tests are managed and run by its partner Prometric, through a network of 8,000 test centres in more than 160 countries. You do not need to be in Dubai to sit one. An oral assessment is a different matter — that runs remotely on a DHA-approved platform, though DHA may require attendance in person.

Yes, and DHA says so explicitly. The guideline states DHA reserves the right to activate or de-activate a specialty assessment and to change the content, the format or the pass score without updating the document. Treat every figure here as current at the date it was checked, and confirm your own specialty before you book.

DHA publishes no syllabus, curriculum or question breakdown. The guideline lists references for some specialties only, and DHA states it provides no references at all for the oral assessment. We do not sell or distribute exam questions, and we would not publish a pass rate DHA has never published.

Because the guideline and the live Mode of Exam lookup do not fully agree. Two of the three differences are documented: Assistant Midwife is fully specified but marked In-active and is absent from the lookup, and Ayurveda Practitioner carries a full specification while the lookup returns Oral Assessment for it. The third sits in the Physician category — 45 specifications against 44 titles returning CBT — and nothing DHA publishes explains which title it is.

Probably not. Of 731 licensable titles, DHA's lookup returns a computer-based test for 113 and an oral assessment for 599. The CBT route this page documents is the minority case, and the specification only matters once you have confirmed your own title routes to it.
