Keep these details together before payment. Use the current authority instructions for the required sequence; this brief is a way to spot mismatches while you can still resolve them.
- Title and modeRecord the full professional title, the current mode-of-exam result and the date checked. Do not choose CBT merely because you found a familiar specialty in a study-material catalogue.
- Code and specificationMatch the title to its exam code in the official guideline. Save the relevant page with its edition, duration, question count, fee and pass-score reference.
- Booking and identityCompare the selected examination with the eligibility and identification details used for booking. Keep the confirmation, appointment time, location and candidate instructions together.
- Preparation and changesBuild revision around the published coverage and references for that title. Record the cancellation and rescheduling terms before committing to a date.

Technician and technologist, or a specialist and a general title, can have different codes. Save both exact labels and ask DHA which code belongs to your application. If the live lookup and the guideline give different routes, keep dated evidence of both and ask DHA for the instruction that applies.

Pass scores range from 45% to 70%

Format, Provider and Result
How the exam itself is run, in DHA's words.
Prometric delivers it, worldwide
DHA states CBTs are managed and run by its partner Prometric, through a network of 8,000 test centres in more than 160 countries. You do not have to be in Dubai to sit one.
Multiple choice, and that is the whole format
The guideline states the exam format is multiple choice questions. There is no practical, written or viva component inside a CBT.
A pass or a fail, never a score
DHA states the result is updated in the applicant's Sheryan account as Pass or Fail and that the applicant's score will not be shared. The pass marks in this table tell you what you must clear, not what you achieved.
Check the current route when a title is absent
The guideline directs unlisted specialties to oral assessment. First rule out a title-name mismatch, an inactive title or a later update using DHA’s current lookup and application instructions.

DHA can change any of this without changing the document
The guideline states DHA reserves the right to activate or de-activate a specialty assessment, and to change the assessment content, the exam format or the pass score, without an update in the content of this document. Treat every figure here as current-at-publication rather than guaranteed, and confirm your own specialty before you book.
118 current specifications; an older lookup snapshot
The September guideline contains 118 specifications. The separate August 2026 lookup capture returned CBT for 113 titles. The lookup has not been repeated title by title in this review; do not treat the numerical difference as a current discrepancy count.
Ayurveda Practitioner appears in both routes at once
The September guideline retains an Ayurveda Practitioner CBT specification. An August 2026 lookup capture returned Oral Assessment. This older observation is not a current route decision; check the live title result and ask DHA to resolve any remaining conflict before booking.
Assistant Midwife is specified but not offered
The September guideline marks Assistant Midwife In-active while retaining its numerical specification. The August lookup capture did not offer that title. Treat the entry as inactive reference material, not evidence that you can book it.

Questions About DHA Exam Fees, Duration and Pass Scores
What does the DHA CBT cost?
The September 2026 guideline lists USD 180, 240 or 280, depending on the exam code. DHA prices the CBT in US dollars, so the dirham amount you pay depends on the card or booking charges. Find your exact code in the table on this page.
What is the pass mark for the DHA exam?
It depends on the title: from 50% to 70% across the titles you can book. For example, Registered Nurse needs 50%, General Practice needs 60%, Pharmacist needs 60%. DHA releases only Pass or Fail, not your score.
Is the listed duration all answering time?
No. DHA says the published duration includes registration and the process introduction as well as the exam itself.
Can I sit the DHA CBT outside the UAE?
Yes. DHA states its partner Prometric runs the CBT through about 8,000 test centres in more than 160 countries.
Does DHA publish the topics the CBT covers?
Yes. The September 2026 guideline has a page for each specialty with its coverage topics and references. Use it as a revision checklist; it is not a question bank.
