Requirements DOH / HAAD Publishes
These are the specific conditions taken from the authority's own service pages — the details that most often decide whether an application proceeds or stalls.
PQR defines the requirements for your category
DOH publishes Professional Qualification Requirements setting out the qualification, experience and licensure expected for each professional title. Check your exact title against the current PQR before applying.
HAAD is the former name, DOH is current
Abu Dhabi's authority is the Department of Health. HAAD is still widely searched and appears in older documents, but current requirements are published under DOH.
The two-year term only saves money for physicians and dentists
On TAMM's published figures a two-year physician or dentist licence is AED 3,350 against AED 5,000 for two one-year licences — a saving of AED 1,650. Pharmacists (AED 600) and other categories (AED 400) pay exactly double the one-year fee either way, and a two-year pharmacy technician licence is AED 350 against AED 300, so it costs AED 50 more.
The employing facility nominates you part-way through, not at the start
TAMM lists facility nomination as step seven of nine — after the application, the verification fee and any exam. You can begin and sit the exam before an Abu Dhabi employer nominates you, which is the opposite of the Sharjah route.
You apply through UAE PASS
TAMM step one is a UAE PASS login, so a working UAE PASS identity is a practical prerequisite before anything else.
