What PQR actually publishes
Pharmacy licensing separates the general Pharmacist title from Clinical and Specialized Pharmacist titles, which need residency training or postgraduate specialization on top of the base pharmacy degree.
| Title | Qualification | Experience |
|---|---|---|
| Pharmacist | BSc in Pharmacy, or Doctor of Pharmacy | Two (2) years of experience post-qualification |
| Pharmacy Technician | Diploma in a Pharmacy program, minimum two (2) years | Two (2) years of experience post-qualification |
| Clinical Pharmacist | BSc Pharmacy + a Clinical Pharmacy Residency (minimum two (2) years), or PharmD (minimum six (6) years), or BSc + a two-year postgraduate route to PharmD/Master's in Clinical Pharmacy, or a Bachelor's/4-year Master's + a UK Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy | No experience required after a Clinical Pharmacy Residency or PharmD*; otherwise two (2) years, including a minimum of six (6) months in a hospital setting |
| Specialized Pharmacist | BSc Pharmacy/PharmD + a one (1)-year postgraduate qualification in a recognized pharmacy specialty, or an American Board certification in that specialty | Two (2) years post-qualification; not required with an American Board certification* |
Note: marked with * where PQR applies its standard Discontinuity of Practice (Gap of Practice) rule — professionals with more than three (3) years out of clinical practice may need extra CME/CPD hours and supervised retraining before the "no experience required" route applies.

Document readiness
Document needs vary by authority, profession, title and case type. General items may include the following, subject to current authority requirements.
Primary-source verification
DataFlow or PSV may be relevant to a pharmacist licensing pathway. UAEHealthPro can help you check professional document readiness and the authority route to explore.
UAEHealthPro can guide document readiness and route context, but does not control a verification outcome.

Applying under the Pharmacist category when the qualification or role fits a Pharmacy Technician or Assistant Pharmacist route instead.
Assuming a community-pharmacy and hospital-pharmacy licence pathway are the same without checking the target facility.
Assuming a MOHAP Pharmacist exam result satisfies a DHA or DOH requirement without checking authority-specific rules.
Providing unclear or incomplete recent-practice information relevant to the intended pharmacy setting.
Starting DataFlow or PSV for a pharmacy qualification without checking current primary-source verification requirements.
Assuming exam exemption, licence approval or a fixed timeline before the relevant authority reviews the case.

Exam guidance
What DHA, MOHAP and DOH publish about their assessments, sourced from their own service pages. Guidance supports preparation only and does not guarantee exam results or license approval, and we do not sell exam questions.
DHA states the assessment must be passed within three attempts across the Authorities — so a failed run is not reset by applying to a different emirate.

What it actually costs
These are the published figures that apply to this profession. Which ones you pay depends on the emirate you are aiming for — Dubai runs through DHA, Abu Dhabi through DOH, and much of the rest of the country through MOHAP. You do not pay all of them.
| What you pay for | Amount | Source | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| DHA professional registration (Dubai) | AED 200 | Official | DHA states this credentialing fee applies to all professional categories. |
| MOHAP professional evaluation — Allied health | AED 300 | Official | The first of MOHAP's two chargeable stages. Paid before licensing. |
| MOHAP licence fee | AED 1,000 | Official | Private facilities. Charged at the licensing stage, plus an AED 100 application fee. |
| Primary Source Verification (DataFlow) | AED 900 – 1,700 | Indicative | Charged by DataFlow, not the authority. Varies with how many documents need verifying. |
