Guide overview

How to Use These Fees and Timelines

Use the source-labelled fee and timing references below alongside a stage-by-stage estimate for your own case. Historic figures and compiled ranges should be confirmed before payment.

Build a comparable estimate

Price the remaining journey, one item at a time

Use this worksheet beside any quotation. Record the original currency, source date, payment recipient and whether the amount is confirmed or still an estimate. Do not add a service already completed unless the new route requires it again.

On a small screen, scroll across the table to read all three columns.

Cost groupWhat to identifyQuestion for the quote
Authority servicesExact service, professional category and licence term.Does the amount cover review, registration, activation or a different stage?
VerificationPackage, covered credentials, transfer and extra items.Which documents are included, and could an issuing source charge separately?
AssessmentConfirmed exam, provider, currency and booking conditions. Is this one appointment, and what would a further attempt or change cost?
Document preparationOnly the certificates, translations or attestations required for the chosen route.Who requires each item and who issues it?
Consultancy supportWritten scope, end point, exclusions and payment terms. What do you, the consultant and the employer each need to do?
Keep unknowns visible. An unpriced item is not a zero-cost item. Separate confirmed charges, estimates and conditional costs. Ask which taxes or checkout charges are included before comparing totals.

Plan dependencies, not a promised date

What has to finish before the next step starts?

  1. Establish readinessList missing records and who can issue them. Time spent collecting documents may precede the published service clock.
  2. Identify permitted overlapDHA permits PSV and a required CBT in parallel. Other routes need their own sequence confirmed.
  3. Record the next decisionKeep each submitted service’s reference, starting conditions and outstanding request visible. Avoid treating an appointment date as an approval date.
  4. Include the employer stageWhere the facility must act, confirm its readiness rather than assuming activation follows automatically from registration.

Key things to know

Key Things to Know

A profile-based estimate is more useful than a generic price list or timeline promise.

Authority route

Costs can vary by authority and professional pathway.

Application type

New, renewal, transfer and activation cases may differ.

Verification and assessment

DataFlow or PSV and exam requirements may have separate context.

Document readiness

Timing can vary with readiness, verification and authority review.

Verification, across every route

What DataFlow Costs and How Long It Takes

DataFlow pricing depends on the selected package and any additional items. Read the source and date beside each reference. A compiled range is an estimate, not an official tariff or a guaranteed completion time.

DHA — Dubai

Sheryan prints its core fees twice — once for Nurse and Midwife, Allied Health and T&CM, once for Physicians and Dentists. Those two columns are identical for registration and diverge sharply at licence activation, so the category you fall into changes the total far more than the registration fee does. The rows below the activation block are single-price services published in DHA's Service Catalogue rather than on the live portal, and are dated accordingly in their notes.

CBT assessment — Aesthetician, Laser, OT Technician, TCIMUSD 180OfficialThe lowest of DHA’s three CBT price bands. Covers Aesthetician/Beauty Therapist, Cast Technician, Laser Hair Reduction, Operation Theatre Technician and Technologist, and all five TCIM exams.

Common Budgeting and Timeline Mistakes

Assuming a generic price applies

Treating a headline figure as your exact cost rather than requesting a case-based estimate.

Assuming fees are bundled

Assuming DataFlow or exam fees are included in the authority's own fee rather than charged separately.

Assuming a fixed timeline

Treating processing time as generic rather than dependent on readiness, verification and review.

Requesting an estimate without context

Asking for a quote without sharing the authority, profession and case type that actually determine it.

Assuming renewal costs the same as a new application

Applying new-application cost expectations to a renewal or transfer case.

Expecting a guaranteed timeline

Treating any quoted timeline as fixed rather than subject to authority review.

UAE Healthcare Licensing Fees and Timeline FAQs

Questions About UAE Healthcare Licensing Fees and Timeline

Is there one total fee for a UAE healthcare licence?

No single figure fits every route. Identify the authority, title, application type and completed stages, then price only the services still needed. The tables below are source-labelled references, not one all-inclusive package.

Are consultancy fees included in authority charges?

Treat them as separate items unless a written quote explicitly says otherwise. Ask for the support scope, official charges, third-party payments and any taxes or additional charges to be identified.

Why can two applicants pay different DataFlow fees?

DataFlow prices depend on the selected package and extra documents; an issuing institution may also charge for its response. Compare what each package verifies before comparing totals.

Does an exam fee include licence activation?

Do not assume so. Examination and licence issuance are different services. Request a stage-by-stage quote that states which payments are included and which remain due later.

Can an existing PSV report reduce the remaining cost?

It may avoid repeating covered verification, subject to the destination requirements and transfer charges. Compare the report contents with the required evidence; later employment or qualifications may be outside the earlier report.

Should I add every published processing time together?

First establish the sequence. Some stages can overlap while others depend on earlier decisions. DHA allows PSV and a required CBT in parallel; that does not mean registration or activation is already complete.

When does a published verification timeframe start?

DataFlow describes its usual timeframe from payment and a complete document submission. Waiting for missing information or an issuing source can extend the actual journey. Record the starting condition beside each estimate.

Does a processing estimate guarantee my work start date?

No. Booking availability, issuer responses, authority review and facility readiness can affect separate stages. Confirm the licence status before treating any estimated date as permission to practise.

How should I compare two licensing support quotes?

Compare the same destination, title and end point. Check whether each quote stops at verification, registration or active licensing, and whether additional documents, reassessment and employer actions are included.

What should I share for an initial estimate?

Share the authority, intended title, current application stage, prior licence, verification coverage and assessment status. High-level details are enough to identify the questions affecting the estimate; this page does not request attachments.
