Make your imaging experience understandable
Prepare a modality-by-modality work history
A CV that says “radiology department” may leave an application reviewer with unanswered questions. Prepare a concise chronology showing where you worked, when you worked there and which imaging work the role actually involved. Keep the wording consistent with the evidence your employer can confirm.
- Identify the proposed title. Compare the employer’s title with the relevant PQR entry. Radiographer / Radiography Technologist and Radiography Technician are separate entries; MRI, sonography and nuclear medicine also have their own routes.
- Separate training from employment. List course placements, internships and employed practice separately, with their dates. Do not combine them into one total and assume every period counts as post-qualification experience.
- Describe the modality and duties. State the work you actually performed—for example general radiography or MRI—and explain any rotation or supervision. Avoid presenting occasional exposure as a full-time specialty role.
- Connect each period to evidence. Note the supporting employment letter, relevant registration and any further qualification. Mark an unclear period for clarification rather than filling it with an estimate.

Moving Into MRI or Another Modality: Offer, Exam and Licence Title
Illustrative situation: you have general radiography experience and receive an MRI job offer. The offer alone does not settle the appropriate licensing title. Compare your qualification, further training and work history with the MRI route before selecting assessment preparation or paying for another verification package.
If your application is for DHA, registration and licence activation are separate steps: the facility activates the registration into a licence before practice. Confirm the application status and intended duties with the employer rather than treating an exam result as permission to start work.
