What a DHA-Licensed Role Actually Requires
When a Dubai job advert says "DHA licensed", it can mean two different things: already holding an active practising licence, or holding DHA registration that the employer will activate. Knowing which one an employer means — and which one you hold — prevents a lot of wasted applications.
DHA registration costs AED 200
DHA states a credentialing fee of AED 200 across all professional categories, with a stated service delivery time of five working days once a complete application is submitted.
Verification and assessment come before that
Documents must be verified through a PSV agency, and any required computer-based assessment passed, before registration is decided. That part is measured in weeks, not days.
A DHA licence is specific to Dubai
It does not automatically permit practice in Abu Dhabi or the northern emirates, which run under DOH and MOHAP respectively.
